Protect Your Inheritance
Protecting your inheritance or an inheritance you're leaving behind is relatively simple. Unfortunately, most people are misinformed, even when they have attorneys to handle their wills and estates. The fact is most attorneys fail to educate their clients. If you have an estate attorney, the key is not to follow his or her advice blindly; rather, it is to know which questions to ask and to ask them.
Realize that any amount of inheritance under $2 million is non-taxable. (It's surprising how many attorneys don't tell that to their clients.)
While it is simple to protect an inheritance, it takes an entire chapter in the book to detail all your options and decisions.
